Date Night Planner
What are we doing tonight? Dinner and something to do — real options near you, ranked by your picks, assembled into one evening.
Where and when?
How these results work
Type a location and we fetch the real restaurants AND things to do nearby (OpenStreetMap data via Geoapify). The tabs split them into two clean lists: Dinner & drinks works exactly like the Restaurant Picker; Activities ranks the things to do.
Every pick is evidence: cuisine chips boost matching kitchens, activity chips boost matching venues, vibe picks lean on venue kinds, Must-haves filter by default, and Not-tonight picks hide matches with the reason shown.
A few stay-in idea cards ride along on the Activities tab — cook together, takeout + games, a proper home movie night — so a rainy Tuesday in a small town still gets a good answer. The golden-hour walk card attaches itself to the nearest beach or park in your search.
Assemble the evening at the top: save candidates as ideas, then “Add to plan” drops them onto the Itinerary with a sensible time — dinner at your chosen hour, the activity before or after.
The Google check adds ratings, prices, photos, and tonight’s hours when you want the crowd’s opinion.
Places come from OpenStreetMap community data: names and locations are usually solid; hours and tags are incomplete — a missing tag never hides a place, and “closed” only means its listed hours say so. Verify hours and book anything reservable before you drive. Ratings and prices arrive with the Google check.
